In my role within Silicon Dorp, I’ve often asked the question: what do you think Suriname’s superpower is?

In mijn rol binnen Silicon Dorp heb ik vaak de vraag gesteld: wat denk jij dat de superpower van Suriname is? Diversiteit werd vaak genoemd: zowel onze biodiversiteit als onze culturele diversiteit, inclusief meertaligheid, culinaire rijkdom en onze omgang met elkaar.

Deze vraag is echter ook van toepassing op onszelf als individu: wat is jouw superpower?

Een manier om dit te ontdekken is vanuit de comparatieve bril, wat maakt jou uniek. Of vraag het aan je vrienden: wat denk je dat mijn superpower is? De antwoorden kunnen verrassend zijn.

Als je deze benadering interessant vindt, overweeg dan de Ikigai en Genius Zone raamwerken. Beide raamwerken gebruiken de intrinsieke bril. Ikigai helpt je de overlap te vinden tussen waar je goed in bent, waar je passie voor hebt en waarvoor je betaald kunt worden. Het Genius Zone model richt zich op het gebied waar je grootste passie en aangeboren talent samenkomen, terwijl je innerlijke belemmeringen loslaat.

Voor nu ben ik benieuwd naar wat je denkt dat mijn superpower is. Je kunt dit delen in de chat of als reactie. Nadat je dit hebt gedaan, deel ik ook graag wat ik denk dat jouw superpower is.

In my role within Silicon Dorp, I’ve often asked the question: what do you think Suriname’s superpower is? Diversity was frequently mentioned: both our biodiversity and our cultural diversity, including multilingualism, culinary richness, and the way we interact with each other.

However, this question also applies to us as individuals: what is your superpower?

One way to discover this is through a comparative lens, what makes you unique. Or ask your friends: what do you think my superpower is? The answers can be surprising.

If you find this approach interesting, consider the Ikigai and Genius Zone frameworks. Both frameworks use an intrinsic lens. Ikigai helps you find the overlap between what you are good at, what you are passionate about, and what you can be paid for. The Genius Zone model focuses on the area where your greatest passion and innate talent come together, while you let go of internal barriers.
